The Basic Hat

The Basic Hat pattern has a ribbed brim that’s knitted with US6 needle , holding 1 strand of DK and lace yarn.  The crown is knitted with a US7 needle.  My hat kits are put together with this pattern in mind.  I used the Seattle 2024 kit in the hat pictured here.

One size, fits 20" - 22" head circumference.

US6 for ribbing
US7 body & crown 
22 stitches x 28 rows = 4” for DK, in stockinette
